Walter Stork started his employment as a clerk with NAVIS GmbH, Hamburg on 1 January 1958. At that time the number of staff was small, and he was able to out into practice his knowledge, especially of international sea transport, gained during, his period of training. In the 1960s the company developed very positively, and its owners appointed Walter Stork as managing director. In 1967 he took over a substantial part of the shares, which subsequently gave him and his family full control of the company. Walter Stork is a born entrepreneur, and NAVIS has become part of his identity. In 1995 NAVIS went public, but the shares remain entirely in the possession of the family. Walter Stork’s philosophy of life is: "Who has no more dreams did not live!" In his honorary capacities he stands up for the protection of our economic system, which he wants to be maintained and developed. Even as a child Remo Stork joined his father on business trips in Germany and abroad. After leaving school, he did an apprenticeship from 1979 till 1982 in carrier and shipping affairs at Van Ommeren in Hamburg. Between 1982 till 1983 he completed his military service in the German navy. In 1983 he joined as a Clerk at NAVIS. In 1985 he interrupted his work at NAVIS to undergo training in the sales team at Lambert Brothers in London. Memberships
